Almost merry Christmas shirt
My Aunt Mildred always insisted on “Christmas-ifying” everything, and that’s how I ended up with a collection of sweaters that would make even the Grinch wince. One year, it was a blinking snowman. The next, a reindeer with a ridiculously oversized red nose that lit up the entire room. But last year? Last year, the pinnacle of festive fashion arrived.
Almost merry Christmas shirt: Express with Style
It was a monstrosity. A bright green shirt, absolutely covered in glitter and cheesy holiday images, and emblazoned across the front in a slightly crooked, off-kilter font, were the words, Almost Merry Christmas. I remember my cousin, bless his ass, trying to hide his laughter when I unwrapped it. He knew. We all knew. It was so bad, it was almost brilliant, a testament to Aunt Mildred’s unwavering dedication to yuletide cheer, regardless of aesthetic sensibilities.

The first time I wore that shirt, it was on Christmas Eve. The air was thick with the scent of pine needles and cinnamon, and the house was buzzing with the chaos of last-minute preparations. I figured I’d humor her. As I walked into the kitchen wearing this thing, my Uncle George, normally a man of few words, actually choked on his eggnog, and Aunt Mildred beamed with pride.

Later that evening, after the presents had been unwrapped and the Christmas dinner consumed, I was sitting on the couch, feeling stuffed and content. My nephew, who usually couldn’t care less about clothes, pointed at my chest and giggled, and I couldn’t help but crack a smile myself. It was absurd, sure, but it also became a symbol of our goofy family, a tangible reminder of a time when everything was filled with the spirit of the season.
Some information about Almost merry Christmas shirt
I can still picture it clearly, the way the glitter caught the light from the Christmas tree, the slightly faded image of Santa Clause on the front. I even remember the feel of the rough cotton against my skin. It was something special.

Even though the Almost Merry Christmas shirt is now tucked away in a box somewhere, I feel a pang of fondness thinking about it. Maybe I will dig it out this year, just for old times’ sake, and celebrate Christmas the way Aunt Mildred would want: with a little bit of sparkle, a whole lot of love, and a shirt that’s unapologetically and almost perfectly, almost merry.

Consistently good shirts
shirts are well made. I always know what to expect when I order this brand. I ordered the XL size which is a little big but I expect it to shrink to fit better after the first wash. I plan to iron on some designs on these.
