Free Doug Shirt

The Exxpedition Round the World voyage departed on Tuesday 8th October in the newly equipped sea vessel, Free Doug Shirt. We were proud to appear on the list of official event suppliers. 10 women set sail and will be joined by over 300 others along the way – over 10,000 applied to be part of the collective crew. So far, more than 30 different nationalities are represented.

I was a little confused by the print at first because it felt like a plastisol screen print but it doesn’t look like one Free Doug Shirt. It turns out that it’s a heat transfer. Despite the rubbery texture, though, it is still quite soft. The website is clean and easy to navigate but it’s not very pretty. I believe they already did a redesign despite its youth but they need to add some character to the store. The t-shirts are simple but they have character. They are fun and interesting. The storefront is dull. But at about US$22.99 including free worldwide shipping, it seems like a bargain.

Despite them being basically cut-out photographs printed on a shirt, I really like this store. The t-shirt is nice quality. The print is not great but I think it works for this type of design. They recommend washing inside out but I think that if the print faded the t-shirts might look even better.
