Whilst Dior was largely black and white as usual, the rest of Paris really went out with most outfits bearing a real pop of colour. Grumpy Old Patriot Shirt How wonderful! Normally we look forward to colourful Spring/Summer seasons but it looks as though Winter 24/25 will also be a colourful one. Of course there was still plenty of black and white out there on the streets. Surprisingly Paris was not as suited as usual. The suit is still a great staple to have but the streets saw fashionistas largely concentrating on creative outfits in favour of the regular suit. Standard blazers often being replaced by colourful bomber style jackets or cutely cropped vegan leather jackets. One could almost say that a Courrèges jacket is this seasons fashionista’s must have. On the jewellery front interesting choker style necklaces are making a comeback. Even simply wearing a silk rose around your neck is a great statement. OMG that reminds me of pictures from the 1920’s. When it comes to earrings, jewellery designers are counting on us all having more than one piercing – Dior included. At some stage I felt like every second woman was wearing the Alberta Ferretti Asymmetric Creolen earrings. A newish trend for rings is to wear them at knuckle level. Personally I think it looks great but would be too afraid of loosing mine to follow this trend. Colourful boots, the new trouser boot, designer Mary Jane ballerinas and fancy sneakers are the hot trends when it comes to footwear. The oversized gingham pattern is making a comeback and there were plenty of shorter furry jackets to be seen.

If you thought 2022’s fixation with fashion from the turn of the century hit its peak with micro miniskirts and ultra low-rise jeans, Grumpy Old Patriot Shirt just wait until you hear about the sartorial sector’s latest obsession. First spotted on the streets of Copenhagen during the city’s runway shows at the beginning of the month, Moon Boots are fast becoming the most-worn footwear trend of the F/W 22 season. And no, I’m not kidding. Following their debut in Copenhagen, the astronaut-inspired knee-high and ankle-high boots that ruled the Sundance Film Festival fashion scene in the early aughts have appeared on show-goers in every city on the Fashion Month circuit, including New York and London. Paired with knee-high leg warmers, slouchy trousers, and minidresses, Moon Boots are proving to be a surprisingly wearable shoe choice, which might be why they’re almost completely sold out. Further fueling their comeback, influencers and celebrities are, too, turning to the style for their end-of-winter wardrobes. Earlier this week, Camille Charriere posted a slideshow on her Instagram showcasing her mini Moon Boots styled with black jeans and a plaid puffer, while Copenhagen-based model Karoline Beltner wore her metallic pair with cargo pants and a shearling jacket. Saving the best for last, Dua Lipa debuted a pair on her Instagram, worn during the current Future Nostalgia tour. In other words, they’re gaining steam fast. And if you want to hop on the Moon-Boot train before every last pair sells out, you’ll have to act fast.
