As I said earlier, skirts are big news for 2024, but the most predominant style on the runway was the one that almost wasn’t there at all. Halo Cortana Shirt “Call me controversial, but if you’re going to wear a skirt in 2024, make sure it’s see-through,” says Rhys-Evans. “Midi, maxi, sheer or sequin; whatever the iteration, the transparent trend embraces the body and has captured my heart. In summer, do it with baby tees and ballet flats, and on cooler, transitional days, opt for knee-high boots, a cosy cashmere knit and perhaps tights (go for a pastel colour or ivory instead of black). Tights or no tights though, just be sure you’re wearing your nice knickers that day.” “For the person looking to reveal a little leg in a more understated way [that’ll be me], I love the flirty sheer skirt, demonstrated brilliantly at Carven under Louise Trotter’s new creative direction,” says Page. “Following Fashion Month searches for sheer skirts increased by 35%.”. “With sheer fabrics making a statement for S/S 24, Alaïa’s latex pencil skirt in a smokey, neutral tone is a great example of how to style the trend in a feminine but modern way, celebrating the female form. I personally love the versatility of a sheer skirt; it’s a perfect evening look and can be styled in a less overtly and obviously sexy way,” adds Wiggins. For me, this runway moment felt especially empowering, and designers did an exquisite job of showcasing the various ways in which anyone can wear the trend. Of course, they work well for evenings out, but anyone who’s prepared to wear a completely sheer skirt to run errands will forever be a hero in my book.
Halo Cortana Shirt, hoodie, sweater, longsleeve and ladies t-shirt
If you’ve ever glanced at a street style roundup, Halo Cortana Shirt you’ve definitely encountered a familiar scene: Thora Valdimars and Jeanette Friis Madsen strolling side by side looking impossibly cool. Considering Copenhagen’s ability to set the trends, it’s no coincidence that both ladies are Danish. Aside from being the reigning queens of Scandi street style, Valdimars and Friis Madsen are the talented designers behind one of my favorite Danish brands: Rotate Birger Christensen. Since they’re entrenched in the Copenhagen fashion landscape both behind the scenes and in front of the camera, I thought they’d be the perfect people to tap for Scandi-approved spring style tips. I’ve attended Copenhagen Fashion Week three times now, and Rotate is reliably the show with the highest energy and best dance party vibes. The brand’s most recent show for F/W 20, of course, was no exception. But before we delve into fall, we’re excited to talk about what’s right in front of us: spring trends. Valdimars and Friis Madsen told us their three best style tips for this season, and you’d be wise to take notes. In keeping with the theme, I’ve also included pieces by Rotate as well as several other Scandinavian brands that show at Copenhagen Fashion Week—including Rains, Ganni, Stine Goya, Remain Birger Christensen, and Munthe.
