House Divided Texas Longhorns vs Texas A&M Aggies shirt
The annual showdown, the one that cleaves families and friendships down the middle, the game that always seemed to bring about the end of the world for at least one side: Texas Longhorns vs Texas A&M Aggies rivalry. I remember it every year, growing up, it was practically a national holiday in our house. My dad, a die-hard Aggie, would start the trash talk weeks in advance, always with a smirk playing on his lips and the slightly mischievous glint in his eyes. My mom, a Longhorn through and through, would just roll her eyes and calmly, patiently explain how the Aggies didn’t really have a chance. Those were the days, simple and predictable, yet full of that vibrant energy only a true rivalry can generate.

The actual game day itself was something else entirely. The air crackled with anticipation, a charged atmosphere thick with hope and dread. The smell of barbecue, wafting from our neighbor’s grill, mingled with the nervous chatter and the constant switching between sports channels, just to be sure we weren’t missing any key play. The game always started civil enough, but as the clock ticked down and the score grew closer (or further apart, depending on your perspective), the pretense of politeness began to crumble. Sometimes, my brother and I would secretly root for the team the opposite of our parents, just to stir the pot a little.

I recall a particularly brutal game in college. I was leaning towards the Longhorns then, maybe just to annoy my dad, maybe because their colors were a little more pleasing to the eye. We were watching it at my buddy’s apartment, which, of course, was already decked out in burnt orange and white. The tension was palpable; every completed pass and missed tackle was met with either a triumphant yell or a defeated groan. The final moments were agonizing, a back-and-forth battle that seemed to stretch on forever, punctuated by screams and chants that went on far longer than was probably necessary.

I have a few of their t-shirts and I love them. The graphics are beautiful and the shirts are a nice weight and wear well.

Great quality, but order a size up.
After an inspection of the clothing they appear to be made quite well. There were no openings in the seems, no loose/unraveling threads, no tears, or stains.
Unfortunately, even with measuring myself before ordering, they did not fit. I ordered medium, in accordance to their sizing chart, but it felt much too tight. Almost like it was trying to be a muscle shirt. So, order a size bigger and you should be good there.
Finally, I learned I don’t like “heavy cotton.” A lot of other reviewers said the fabric was soft. To me it was indeed heavy, too heavy, and was more roughly-textured that I expected. Not what I call soft.
I liked the quality of the construction though, and these issues ultimately shouldn’t count against the product itself. Size chart just needs some adjustment, and the fabric issues are just my own preferences.
