Overalls in every color and material have made a huge comeback this year, Jwri restaurant fish chips shirt but it’s the black styles in particular that we have our eyes on. Classic and timeless, black is the most universally flattering color and will never go out of season. We’re loving how fashion girls are wearing black overalls this season, whether in denim, satin, or leather. Dress them up with a feminine blouse and heels, or dress them down with a white T-shirt and sneakers—the possibilities are endless. They’re versatile and virtually seasonless, so you can never go wrong a pair of black overalls. We all want to look like our most polished selves, don’t we? While, sadly, I’m not here to provide you with a week at a spa or an endless allowance at The Row, I am here to bring you a treasure trove of the most expensive-looking pieces on the high street every week. It’s my mission to prove that you can find premium pieces to elevate your wardrobe without the designer price tag and to make it easy for you to pinpoint the items on the high street that are really worth adding to your wardrobe. There are some amazing gems out there that your friends won’t believe aren’t designer, but there’s a lot to sift through to find them. That’s where I come in. As a Who What Wear editor, I scroll new-in collections as a hobby, and I can spot an expensive-looking (and -feeling) piece a mile away. I’ll be adding the best bits I find to this list. Some may be more “affordable” than others, but you can be confident every piece is here because I believe it offers great value.

The pairing of equally bold grape-purple tights really elevates this to high-fashion territory, so we just had to document the entire ‘fit. A cloud of expertly constructed fabric, Cecilie Bahnsen dresses are so instantly recognizable that one can spot them a mile away. So it didn’t surprise us once Frieze co-curator Sonya Tamaddon revealed that her cobalt-blue frock was a creation from her “dear friend” Bahnsen. “I only wear ruffles when it’s Cecilie. She makes it feel like armor,” she says. To add more drama, the curator incorporated three more major runway trends—sheer tights, big earrings, and ballet flats. We caught this art educator at the tail end of Frieze day one just as the sun was beginning to set and the crowd trickled out of the fairgrounds. It was the earrings and headband that immediately stuck out, a reminder that good accessories will always spark conversation (and compliments). If relaxed is the keyword for the Californian dress code, then double denim is the Los Angeles equivalent of a suit. Adrianna Bach, a model based in New York City, wore a dark-wash Slvrlake denim set with Celine sunglasses and a Bottega Veneta Mini Jodie bag. “I’ve worn this set for seven days in a row,” she proclaims.
