A new era of street style has arrived. Keep Calm And Blame It On Your Brother Shirt Copenhagen Fashion Week has long had the best-dressed attendees, but something special was in the air in the Danish capital this season. Perhaps it was the fantastic August weather with nary a raindrop in sight, the highly-anticipated return of a full-swing summer travel season, or the electric energy of young, up-and-coming Scandi designers. One thing’s for sure: It’s always a delight to witness it firsthand, as I’ve done for the past several years. From gleeful bike rides to popsicle party favors, our photographer The Style Stalker captured all of the happiest moments from Copenhagen this week. As for the clothes, there was a healthy mix of eye-catching brights, laid-back slouchy silhouettes, minimalist vibes, and plenty of personality to go around. Scroll down to see some of my favorite Copenhagen Fashion Week street style photos from the spring/summer 2023 season and check back as we update throughout the week.

When temperatures rise and faux fur is removed from the agenda, Keep Calm And Blame It On Your Brother Shirt designers look for new ways to add texture to their collections—pieces with movement that bring the runway to life. And this season, fringe proved to be the order of the day. Taller Marmo’s creations have become beloved by fashion people in recent years, and now it seems everyone else wants a slice of the action, too. “Fringe is often used to bring an element of fun texture to an otherwise basic outfit, which might explain why it was everywhere this past party season,” says Annie Wheatland-Clinch, assistant social media editor at Who What Wear UK. “Still, as much as a tasseled treasure can feel like a special touch, it can quickly veer into generic after the first few wears. This is why this season’s array of contemporary interpretations is a welcome refresh—from bright colours and metallics to playful plastics and ropes, pieces from Jil Sander and Celine give us hope that this novelty trend has staying power, at least for another season or two.”
