Matt Rife Stay Golden tour shirt
The anticipation for the upcoming Matt Rife Stay Golden tour shirt sparked a particular kind of excitement, the kind that makes you actually check your bank account just to make sure you’ve got enough saved up. Seeing Matt perform live felt like a distant possibility not too long ago, something I’d casually dream about while scrolling through TikTok. Now, with the tour, a chance to snag a piece of the experience, a wearable memory, seemed within reach, and that was just incredibly cool.

The idea of choosing the right size felt kind of stressful, remembering the last concert tee I bought that ended up being way too big – a total rookie mistake. I pictured myself, finally inside the venue, surrounded by people who “got” the same jokes, and the perfect shirt, acting as a badge of honor. I wasn’t usually one for merchandise, mostly because it seemed like a waste of money, but this felt different. This was about tangible connection to a comedian whose work had consistently made me laugh when I really needed it, a comfort during a rough patch last year, actually.

I went online, ready to pre-order, and the website’s layout was a mess, honestly. Then there were the inevitable internet glitches, it felt like ages before I could even get it into my cart, and then everything crashed. I imagined the disappointment of seeing it sold out, the fear of missing out, it was genuinely a little silly but, at that moment, it was incredibly important. The design itself, whatever it ended up being, would represent more than just a piece of clothing; it’d represent laughter and a feeling of belonging. The design details actually didn’t matter so much to me, although I hoped it wasn’t overly flashy. The logo or even just his name would suffice, something understated, classic, maybe with a small, discreet gold accent – “Stay Golden,” you know? I always thought that phrase was catchy, especially after all those nights I spent alone, clicking through the videos. The design wouldn’t make or break it for me. It was the feeling, the memory of seeing him perform and the story it would later tell.

Great quality, but order a size up.
After an inspection of the clothing they appear to be made quite well. There were no openings in the seems, no loose/unraveling threads, no tears, or stains.
Unfortunately, even with measuring myself before ordering, they did not fit. I ordered medium, in accordance to their sizing chart, but it felt much too tight. Almost like it was trying to be a muscle shirt. So, order a size bigger and you should be good there.
Finally, I learned I don’t like “heavy cotton.” A lot of other reviewers said the fabric was soft. To me it was indeed heavy, too heavy, and was more roughly-textured that I expected. Not what I call soft.
I liked the quality of the construction though, and these issues ultimately shouldn’t count against the product itself. Size chart just needs some adjustment, and the fabric issues are just my own preferences.

Nice thick shirt
So I am someone who likes thicker t shirts and they seem to be harder and harder to find in stores since most shirts are becoming increasingly thin. These shirts are the perfect thickness! Thick enough to feel comfortable but not too thick to be stiff or hot. Highly recommend these!

He ain’t heavy but he’s my summer shirt …
Yes it’s true. These are not “heavy” but they are Cotton. They are well made. They are less than $6 each and they will work for summer wear.
Buy up a size and shrink to your actual size.
Good cheap Tees.
