Mercy Is Treason shirt
My friend Sarah actually bought a shirt with the words Mercy Is Treason emblazoned across the front. I remember seeing it at a coffee shop – she was wearing it, sipping her latte, and I remember thinking, “Wow, that’s a statement.” It struck me as so incredibly… harsh. You know? Especially when I knew her, she’s usually all sunshine and rainbows. Then she explained the context, how it was a commentary on a political figure’s policies, their lack of empathy. I initially thought it was a bit extreme, I mean, treason? Seriously?

But as she detailed some of the issues that were bothering her, the frustration simmering under the surface of the shirt’s message became somewhat understandable. We’d talked about similar stuff before. The way things felt like they were constantly moving in a direction that she perceived as unfair. I guess, for her, the phrase wasn’t a literal call to arms, but more of a visceral reaction to something she was passionate about – things she felt deeply about. And I suppose, I could relate to that to some extent.

Later, I started noticing similar sentiments expressed in other places: graffiti on walls, online memes. People expressing similar anger. It’s funny how a single phrase, so seemingly radical, could capture the feeling of so many. It made me reflect on my own responses to the world, how easily I’d dismiss someone else’s strong reaction. I mean, my initial thought was that it was overly dramatic, but wasn’t that just my own gut reaction? Now, I’m not saying I completely agreed with her viewpoint, or even the shirt’s slogan itself, every time I saw it. There were definitely days when it felt a little too… much. But what I did take away from the whole experience was that there’s always a story behind a statement like that. Sometimes it’s about a deeply felt belief, and sometimes it’s about what others are experiencing. The shirt, and the attitude behind it, actually showed me something that day.

Great quality, but order a size up.
After an inspection of the clothing they appear to be made quite well. There were no openings in the seems, no loose/unraveling threads, no tears, or stains.
Unfortunately, even with measuring myself before ordering, they did not fit. I ordered medium, in accordance to their sizing chart, but it felt much too tight. Almost like it was trying to be a muscle shirt. So, order a size bigger and you should be good there.
Finally, I learned I don’t like “heavy cotton.” A lot of other reviewers said the fabric was soft. To me it was indeed heavy, too heavy, and was more roughly-textured that I expected. Not what I call soft.
I liked the quality of the construction though, and these issues ultimately shouldn’t count against the product itself. Size chart just needs some adjustment, and the fabric issues are just my own preferences.

Well made shirt. Wash on Cold.
Good color and comfortable fit. Before wash was more of a regular. After wash between regular and slim fit. Washed in warm and dried on medium. Recommend wash cold and hang dry if you want it to stay the same size.

Good for walking
I use this product for my morning walks. There are no sidewalks where I live, so one has to walk in the street. This bright color catches the eye of motorists…unless, of course, they’re color blind…
