Raccoon overstimulated and festive af shirt
The memory flickers, a particularly chilly evening last December. I’d been battling the holiday rush, the relentless carols echoing from every shop, and the persistent urge to buy -one more thing-. My brain felt like a snow globe someone had shaken violently – all the pretty, sparkly stuff just blurring into a chaotic mess. It was around then I spotted him, this bandit-masked marvel, waddling across the neighbor’s snow-dusted lawn. That’s when it hit me: the perfect shirt idea.
Raccoon overstimulated and festive af shirt- About us
And yes, I mean a real raccoon, not a furry Halloween costume. This little guy was living his best life, probably sniffing out forgotten Christmas cookies or maybe even plotting a heist on the leftover turkey. The whole scene, the frantic holiday energy, and that bold raccoon, sparked the idea in my mind. It felt like the embodiment of all that stress, mixed with the inherent joy of the season. Maybe a touch of defiance, too.

The initial sketch was a mess, honestly. My drawing skills peak somewhere around stick figures and lopsided houses. I finally settled on a design: a grumpy-looking raccoon, decked out in a ridiculously oversized Santa hat, overflowing with jingle bells, and with tiny, glittery claws clutching a candy cane. It was absolutely ridiculous, and exactly what I envisioned.

The shirt’s birth was an adventure, a series of failed attempts, stained fabric, and a whole lot of head-scratching. Getting the fabric paint to cooperate was a challenge. Then came the realization that, while aesthetically pleasing, glitter -everywhere- is a serious commitment. Finally, after a few weeks of trial and error (and cleaning glitter off literally everything), the masterpiece emerged.
Description for Raccoon overstimulated and festive af shirt
Wearing that shirt, especially during the peak of the holiday season, was a pure delight. It was a conversation starter, a signal to kindred spirits who understood the chaos. It’s a statement, a humorous cry into the void of excessive consumerism, and the need to embrace the chaos. It always brings a smile and lets people know it’s okay to feel that little bit of crazy.

My Raccoon Overstimulated and Festive AF shirt became a wearable embodiment of the feeling, a constant reminder to laugh at the madness. It wasn’t about perfect decorations or perfectly wrapped presents; it was about embracing the imperfect, the slightly frantic, and, yes, the wonderfully, gloriously raccoon-esque side of the holidays. Now, as I sort through my Christmas decorations again, I’m already anticipating wearing it next year.

Fits well, retains it’s shape once washed. Fabric is not too thick, it’s great for either hot summer or cool summer days that have lots of wind. Vusually it’s a fun tee shirt, my husband just loves all the creatures on it. He wanted to wear it immediately.

Worthy replacement
It was slightly smaller, but then I’m slightly bigger now after Thanksgiving. The color is an exact match to my old ones of large size, from 1979. It helped my new/old fatigues look perfect.
